Meet Your New Favorite Photographer
the person sitting on the sand with a camera? that's me.
I'm Chinelle — birth photographer, filmmaker, nurse, doula, and apparently the person who will get fully underwater with a housing-rigged camera just to see what happens when real people stop performing for the lens.
I've spent over a decade documenting the most raw, unfiltered moments of people's lives — births, first breaths, the kind of things you can't stage or recreate. That work taught me one thing above everything else: the best photos happen when people forget the camera is there.
Water does that faster than anything else I've found.
It doesn't matter if you're a confident swimmer or someone who only goes in up to your knees. The moment you're in — really in — something shifts. The self-consciousness stays on shore. Whatever you were carrying before you got there gets left at the surface. What's left is just you, lit from below, completely weightless.
That's what Float+Flo is here to document.
I'm Trinidadian-American, Tampa Bay based, and deeply obsessed with the way light moves through water at 6am when nobody else has shown up yet. I shoot beach, springs, and pool sessions for families, couples, and individuals across Tampa Bay and beyond.
You don't need to know how to pose. You don't need a special outfit. You just need to get in.
just get in the water.
